Clean Sky participation in ACARE Italy

29/05/2012

On 17 May in Turin, over 70 participants attended the conference, mainly dedicated to Clean Sky as well as to some updates on FP7 (L0 approach) and to Horizon 2020.
The presentation of the Clean Sky programme was complemented by an overview of the topics covered by Call 12 (open until 10 July) with special emphasis on the possibility offered to potential applicants to address any topics-related question to Clean Sky, using a dedicated mailbox. The presentations on how to prepare a successful proposal and the checklist to apply for the entire process (from proposal evaluation to project implementation) led to a fruitful interaction with the participants.
The event was sponsored by APRE and Clean Sky, and hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin. 40% of the participants were new to Clean Sky, with a significant representation by SMEs; a few of them, already involved in Clean Sky, shared their projects experience, confirming that even newcomers in the aeronautical sector have a good chance to become partner in Clean Sky projects, hence extending their market into the air transport industry.

The updated statistics of SMEs involvement in Clean Sky, with emphasis on Italian representation, were discussed and it was agreed to post them on both Clean Sky and APRE web sites.
To conclude this fruitful day, participants suggested a follow-up event at national level involving Italian Stakeholders, to explore the position on Horizon 2020 as well as the evolution of the JTI concept.
