Clean Sky discusses public-private model at Austrian Presidency event
Clean Sky took part in a high-level session on “Co-programming Partnerships” under Horizon Europe organised by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of EU and the European Commission in the framework of the International Conference ‘INDTECH 2018 - Innovative industries for smart growth’ which took place in Vienna on 29-31 October 2018.
Bruno Mastantuono (Legal Manager & Strategy Advisor) presented a case study on Clean Sky 2 JU as the “Public-Private Partnership” in aviation R&I, with a focus on how the JU involves Member States in its governance and considerations on the use of the PPP/JU model to build a strategic roadmap to meet key EU priorities and foster synergies with national and regional programmes.
The session was moderated by Jurgen Tiedje (Head of Unit at DG RTD of the European Commission) and included presentations by Max Lemke (Head of Unit at DG CONNECT of the European Commission) on Digitising European Industry innovation ecosystem and case studies from contractual PPPs.
The event was attended by a large audience of delegates from EU institutions, Member States and national authorities, research organisations, academia and stakeholders.
