Skyline 31 has landed - discover the research organisations involved in Clean Sky

15 June 2021

The latest issue of Skyline has landed! This edition takes an in-depth look at research organisations, to complete our series of insights into the innovation ecosystem that makes up Clean Sky (together with SMEs and universities).

113 research organisations from 21 countries have taken part in our projects to date. They play a key role in Clean Sky’s technical activities, bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world solutions. We have invited some of Europe’s most important research organisations – DLR, NLR, ONERA, CIRA, FIDAMC, ILOT, INCAS and ARA – to discuss their work in Clean Sky 2 and their ideas for the future Clean Aviation partnership.

This issue also features Rosalinde van der Vlies, the Clean Planet Director at the European Commission, who discusses how the whole aviation sector must join forces to achieve the European Green Deal’s climate-neutrality objective. EREA (the Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics) follows this thread, presenting their vision of the future of civil aviation and the important role research organisations have to play in reducing aviation’s climate impact.
